Fish/No Fish for Tackle Boxes of Fortune
By Bud Edwards
Fish/No Fish, modeled after the hit NBC television game show Deal/No
Deal, joins the Tournament night time entertainment schedule Monday
evening thanks to title sponsors Clinic Pharmasave and Downtown
Pharmasave, Director of Special Projects Bud Edwards announced this
week.
Kim Metke, pharmacist and owner of both Pharmasave pharmacies, has been
a Tournament supporter since 1995 and quickly saw Fish/No Fish as an
excellent marketing opportunity.
“When I read all the features and benefits available and the
plans to put together an exciting evening of entertainment I quickly
realized that Fish/No Fish is going to be a tremendous hit”.
“There will be two games similar to the television show with
contestants drawn from the audience trying to take home the top prizes
of $10,000 in game # 1 and $25,000 in game # 2 , Kim explained.
“The Deal/No Deal metal cases containing prize amounts will be
replaced by Tackle Boxes of Fortune. Each tackle box holds a prize
ranging from $0.01 to up to $25,000 plus the Captain (Banker) will be
making cash offers to buy the one selected by each contestant, just
like on TV”.
The 52 tackle boxes used in the two Fish/No Fish games each contain an
assortment of top quality tackle and other goodies. They will be given
away to audience members as door prizes throughout the evening as the
games progress. The total value of the tackle boxes and contents will
exceed $2,000.
The Fish/No Fish part of the evening entertainment will be capped off
with the draw for the Grand Door Prize rumored to be a trip for two to
an exotic warm popular destination.
“We could give away up to $40,000 in cash and door prizes in a
couple of tension filled hours. I really expect the audience to get
involved and have a great time yelling advice to the lucky contestants
who will be on the main stage selecting which boxes to open hoping they
contain only low prize amounts” Kim continued.
“I think Fish/No Fish will really kick-off the Tournament Week
this year. We plan to have advance tickets available at both Downtown
Pharmasave and Clinic Pharmasave beginning on Mall Days, the B. I. A.
annual Scott Street event leading to Fun in the Sun and Canada
Day” Kim explained.
“I really expect high demand for tickets for a chance to win
$10,000, $25,000, the Grand Door Prize trip or one of the 52 tackle
boxes so I encourage everyone to drop by either store and purchase
their Fish/No Fish tickets early” Kim concluded.
