Something Else – Double Winner in Band Competition

The local Fort Frances group “Something Else” took the top award at the third annual ‘Battle of the Bands’ at the Canadian Bass Championship on Tuesday night. Winning is not something new for the group of grade nine students. They too walked away with first place in the Teenage Battle of the Bands just two days earlier.

“These guys really are something else,” commented Master of Ceremonies Paul Morrison. “Considering their playing and song writing skills, and how young these guys are, I think they have a really good future ahead of them.”

In addition to walking away with $250 in prizes, the winning group will also have the opportunity to share the stage with Kenny Shields and “Streetheart” on Thursday night.

The second and third place groups were ‘Lost Creek Machine’ and ‘Six Foot Stupid’.
